I was officially done with her 4th semester in OT school on May 11th. Both finals went relatively well. THANK THE LORD.
May 12th, I decided to bum around the house instead of doing anything really productive. Mike & I went to have dinner at Ikea before small group. that was yummy and fun ![]()
May 13th
(8:01am): I’m on the way to the hospital. Mike is next to me.
(9:01am):I’m all checked in and my family is waiting with me.
(9:48am):The IV was painless. Thank God. The IV was one of the worst fear in this whole process, but after telling the nurse that I have a pain tolerance of 1 out of 10, she numbed me before putting the IV in. She rocked!
(10:12am): Anesthesiologist is a crack up. Totally put my whole family at ease. Especially mike when he offered to call mikeĀ to keep him updated throughout the surgery
(10:34am):The nurse is wheeling me off to my hawaii vacation and the anesthesiologist is prepping the midoris. Wish me bon voyage! (i had such a pleasent experience with the staff at huntington memorial..)
(11:26am):Just got a call from the anesthesiologist. He says glo is sleeping fine and the surgery is underway. (I don’t remember ANYTHING after they transfered me on the surgery table. I think I knocked out before they even gave me any anesthetic)
(1:04pm):Glo is emerging from surgery. Doc says it went smooth and no complications. She should be waking up soon.
(1:10pm):The anesthesiologist says the procedure was remarkably uneventful and that everything went smoothly. We should be up in the room in about an hour
(2:54pm):Resting nicely in my hospital room.
May 14th (after a tough night of not being able to hold down anything including water and ice chips..)
(7:00am):Feeling so much better this morning!!
(2:00pm): finally going home!!
(4:20pm):Mike worked so hard to take care of me. He finally knocked out on the couch…poor guy

The whole experience hasn’t been bad for someone that doesn’t have any pain tolerance. It’s all the prayers, well wishes, and good thoughts that everyone was sending my way through this process. thank you. it means the world to me.
